Move Againt AIDS Celebrity Dance-a-thon Includes Sol Chicks Hand Painted Denim

Sol Chicks Design may be headquartered in the Midwest, but the online boutique is making a lasting impression on big name celebrities across the country. The most recent event the company has participated in was the “Move Against AIDS” Dance-a-thon in New York City, held December 7th, 2005. This year, Sol Chicks also partnered with local design studio Corporate 3 Design, to create custom, one-of-a-kind items for the celebrity swag bags given out to the star attendees.

Celebrity gift-giving has become a staple at any high profile events these days, and with that comes a need for unique, one-of-a-kind items that catch a star’s attention. At this year’s dance-a-thon, A-listers such as supermodels
Naomi Campbell(http://www.solchicks.com/uploads/naomi.jpg) and Tyson Beckford, Jai Rodriguez of Queer Eye and radio diva Wendy Williams all came together to support AIDS research, boogie down, and get a luxury gift bag worth over $1,300. Included in each bag was a gift certificate designed and produced by C3D that can be redeemed for a pair of custom, hand-painted denim jeans created by Sol Chicks. The company has already received client calls from LA within a week of the show.

“These events mean so much more when we work with organizations, both local and national, who are supporting issues such as this one,” states Sol Chicks owner Nikki Kinsey. “It’s great to have a celebrity name endorsing your work, but it’s even better when it comes as a result of supporting a worthy cause.”

Klein Creative ( www.kleincreative.com), the New York-based gift bag marketing firm who organized the gift portion of the evening, carefully researches companies to fill the contents of each bag at these elite events. Owner Stephanie Klein specifically selected Sol Chicks’ hand-painted glasses for last year’s dance-a-thon, and was pleased to have them a second time showcasing their painted jeans at this year’s over-the-top bash.
